I am a person in long-term recovery. I like to say that I am recovering from life - the things that happened to me and the things that happened because of me.
I'm proud to say I haven’t used any substances (alcohol or drugs) for over a decade.
Recovery is a lifelong journey, and I am continually working on myself, striving to be the best version of me possible. I am passionate about recovery and helping others heal. I truly believe that anyone can recover if they are given the right support and opportunities.
Addiction is sacrificing everything for one thing… while recovery is sacrificing one thing to have everything else. Addiction steals our time, our opportunities, our relationships, and, ultimately, our very essence.
Recovery coaching gives us all of that back - and more.
I have worked in the field of recovery for the past nine years, leading community projects and collaborating with residential treatment services. I have designed and implemented recovery housing projects and aftercare services, ensuring individuals have the support they need beyond initial treatment.
My experience includes working in the criminal justice sector and other frontline services where I developed pre-tox and pre-hab programs to help motivate individuals toward residential treatment. I have trained peer mentors and recovery coaches, overseeing numerous peer-led projects that empower those in recovery to support others on their journey.
In addition, I have supervised and trained staff while working with various agencies across Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. I am well known and respected within local addiction and recovery services, and I feel incredibly grateful that lived experience is not only recognized but valued in this field.
As a certified life coach I live and breath the coaching industry and believe its the future of recovery.
I am a professional Recovery Coach, officially an advanced Practitioner in the coaching world recognised by CCAR and the Recovery Coach Academy. I wholeheartedly believe in Recovery Coaching by walking alongside individuals with a non-judgmental attitude and recognizing people as their own greatest resource.
I have also trained in counselling, CBT, NLP, ACT, mindfulness, leadership, and teaching. I aim to be relevant and effective for the people I support
There are many pathways to and through recovery. I support and encourage people as they strive toward their achievements, while also nurturing them through challenges and setbacks. With a deep, multi-faceted understanding of recovery, I strongly advocate for Recovery Capital as a powerful framework for growth in all areas of life.
I am a voice for the voiceless and will always fight for the underdog. I speak the truth, even when it’s difficult to hear. I lead by example by pro-socially modelling recovery and inspiring others to see their full potential. I recover loudly and proudly—so others won’t die quietly.
I am not afraid to have courageous conversations and challenge both my own thinking and that of others.
